Martin’s Tree Service is another partner that we hold close to our hearts. I'm especially proud of this account because the family is close to us and there is always a risk in doing “business” with someone you are close to.
Steve at Martin's Tree Service has a wonderful family, we met because our daughters play hockey on the same team. In getting to know them better, I learned Steve was noticing that his Google my business listing wasn’t working so well and he wasn’t sure he was getting much in the way of results from the Yellow Pages program he was locked into. I offered to take a look for him and found he’d received 16 “visits” to his website from the YPG “lead generator” in the last year.
Steve would almost have been better off handing out flyers on a street corner in Waterloo.
We looked at his current website which was a very nice looking website that was on an architecturally limiting platform. We added 15 pages of content and continue to create blog posts & static web pages along with helping to manage the Google My Business listing.

Our story with Millroad began as a mission to help.
While researching content for another client we noticed that the Millroad website was down and looked to have been down for at least a few days. I decided to give them a call and offer some help. Bob & Angie at Millroad were at their wit’s end trying to figure out the difficult landscape of web hosting.
I said, “Bob, I understand you don’t know me from Adam but I’d be happy to have one of our people look into this and see if we can get you back up and running.” I mentioned he should give a call to the client that we were researching content for and he could vouch for us. Bob put us in touch with Angie, she passed along the accesses we’d need to help and within a few hours, their website was up & running.
Fast forward 6-7 months, Millroad was looking to have their website rebuilt and we’re proud they thought of us. We undertook the website build project, added 40 pages of content around the different types of custom aluminum trailers they build and launched their website.
We continue to see record increases in organic traffic to the website every month. We continue to create custom content, help manage their Google My Business page & add content to their Facebook page.
We recently switched the website hosting for Millroad because that difficult hosting provider never changed. Something like moving a website is a fairly easy process when you have 6 developers on staff but a small, family-run business isn’t able to do this and they would have been stuck with what they had.

Back in 2012 when our relationship with Skedaddle Humane Wildlife Control started they weren’t even called Skedaddle. Our discussions started when Skedaddle was working on rebranding the company from Humane Wildlife Control to Skedaddle. We built out a new website integrating the new brand and launched the website in late February 2011.
Our search engine optimization work started in earnest with monthly content and a laser focus on architecture and link building. The website was getting about 1,200 organic visitors per month.
We built out location pages, added new species pages, and then followed up that content with monthly blog posts and static pages of content supporting the key landing pages.
7 years later, 2 more website refreshes, over 1,200 pages of content, 345 keywords on page 1, and finally a single month all-time high of 82,580 visits.

Having started our digital marketing in the automotive space, it only made sense that working with Canadian Black Book would be a perfect fit for us.
CBB had been under some stress with issues around their website and found themselves under penalty with Google. Following our proven strategy of audit, analyze, research & implement we put together a sound strategy to get them back on track.
Part of our recommendation centered around the fact that the build of the website was dynamically created content imported from dealer listings. This was causing a fairly considerable issue with thin content.
We worked with the developers at CBB on 3 different versions of the website while we focussed on doing our best to ensure the architecture was as solid as could be given the environment they were working in.
We undertook a process of creating 900 static pages of content around manufacturers & models of vehicles which made a huge difference to Google.

The working relationship with C2 Education came to me from a referral because C2 had unfortunately seen a poor performance from the last SEO vendor they had.
C2 Education is a United States tutoring company with hundreds of franchises in the U.S. and started in a dorm room at Harvard University over 20 years ago.
